Locum Gastroenterology NP or PA — Inpatient 7-on/7-off, Toledo, OH

Join a collaborative GI team at a Level I Trauma Center in Toledo, Ohio, providing inpatient gastroenterology coverage on a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule. This locum opportunity offers steady, ongoing coverage with no call responsibilities and a supportive team environment.

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of adult gastroenterology inpatients.
• Perform initial consultations and follow-up visits.
• Coordinate and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures.
• Work closely with gastroenterologists, hospitalists, nurses, and ancillary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Accurately document patient encounters in Epic.

Schedule & setting

• Start: ASAP, ongoing coverage
• Schedule: Every other week—7 days on, 7 days off
• Hours: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (Sunday–Saturday during on weeks)
• Call: None
• Setting: 100% inpatient at a Level I Trauma Center
• Average daily census: 20–25 adult patients
• EMR: Epic

Qualifications

• Board certified NP or PA
• Active Ohio NP or PA license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of gastroenterology or relevant inpatient APP experience
