Locums Cardiac Anesthesiology Physician — Richmond, VA (Dec 2128, 2026; No Night OR Call)

Location: Richmond, VA
Assignment: Locums coverage for the week of December 21, 2026

Schedule

• OR coverage: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Cardiac call only: 7:00 AM on Dec 24, 2026 through 7:00 AM on Dec 28, 2026
• Holiday call rates apply for Dec 24 and Dec 25
• No overnight OR call required

Clinical Duties

• Provide anesthesia for cardiac surgical procedures
• Manage perioperative care of complex cardiac patients
• Participate in designated cardiac call coverage
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia colleagues, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care in a tertiary care setting

Qualifications

• Cardiac fellowship preferred
• Non-fellowship candidates considered if able to provide cardiac case logs and an attestation of cardiac procedure experience
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency completion)
• Active Virginia medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• Current BLS required; ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• Flu and COVID vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions considered)

• Short-term, focused assignment with no overnight OR call
