Locums Occupational Medicine Physician — $150/hr, DOT-Certified, Woodbridge (Iselin), NJ

Compensation: $150 per hour

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre-employment, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty, and DOT/FMCSA-compliant physical examinations.
• Evaluate and manage occupational injuries and illnesses, providing timely treatment and arranging appropriate follow-up care.
• Interpret diagnostic studies (EKGs, X-rays, labs) and incorporate findings into care plans.
• Complete workers’ compensation documentation and communicate work status, restrictions, and care recommendations to employers and case managers.
• Promote injury prevention and workplace health initiatives.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner Certification (FMCSA) required.
• Experience in occupational medicine or urgent care strongly preferred.
• Current DEA registration and eligibility for facility credentialing.
