Locums Interventional Radiology NP/PA – $135/hr, 50/50 Inpatient-Outpatient, No Call (Brick, NJ)

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Brick Township, New Jersey. This role offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient care within a collaborative Interventional Radiology practice and a well-supported clinical environment.

Compensation: $135 per hour

Position overview

• Setting: 50% inpatient / 50% outpatient
• Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Call: None

Clinical responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients requiring interventional radiology services across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform pre-procedure assessments and provide post-procedure follow-up care
• Assist with paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC line placement
• Collaborate with the Interventional Radiology physician and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Educate patients about procedures, risks, benefits, and aftercare
• Accurately document patient encounters and procedural notes in the electronic medical record
• Support procedural workflow and coordinate patient care

Team and volume

• Work alongside one Interventional Radiology physician and one advanced practice provider
• Patient and procedure volume will vary based on clinical needs

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active New Jersey license
• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, procedural or hospital-based care preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC line placement
• Strong clinical judgment, procedural skill, and communication abilities
