OB/GYN Hospitalist — Birmingham/Mobile, AL | $300–340K, Flexible Schedule & No Call

We are seeking Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians to join our hospitalist team in Birmingham, AL (opportunities also available in Mobile, AL). This role delivers consistent, expert care to every pregnant patient presenting to the hospital and partners with local obstetricians to improve patient safety and satisfaction.

• Location: Birmingham, AL (also recruiting in Mobile)
• Employment type: Full-time hospitalist
• Schedule: Typically 7–9, 24-hour shifts per month (approximately 21 days off monthly). No additional on-call duties or office management. Flexible scheduling with potential for bonuses.
• Compensation: $300,000–$340,000 base salary plus full benefits

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care, including management of routine deliveries and obstetric emergencies
• Admit, evaluate, and manage pregnant and postpartum patients in the hospital setting
• Coordinate care with local obstetricians, nursing staff, anesthesia, neonatology, and other consultants
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital protocols and policies

Requirements

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Demonstrated ability to manage obstetric emergencies and inpatient OB/GYN care
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement
