Locum Tenens Rapid Care NP/PA — Martinsburg, WV (Urgent Care; BLS/ACLS/ATLS Required)

We’re looking for a confident, patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage in a busy Rapid Care clinic in Martinsburg, West Virginia. You’ll see a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, work with a collaborative team, and practice in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries in an urgent care environment
• Perform thorough patient assessments that consider biological, social, and psychological factors
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, etc.)
• Develop and implement patient-centered treatment and follow-up plans
• Perform procedures within your scope and credentialing (wound care, splints, laceration repair, etc.)
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up with specialty services when needed
• Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
• Contribute to the education of medical, nursing, and advanced practice students when applicable

Qualifications — Nurse Practitioner

• Master’s degree from a CCNE-accredited nursing program (APRN)
• National APRN certification (e.g., FNP or ACNP preferred)
• Licensed—or eligible for licensure—as an RN and APRN in West Virginia
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and ATLS required; PALS encouraged

Qualifications — Physician Assistant

• Graduate of an ARC-PA–approved Physician Assistant program (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
• NCCPA certification required
• Licensed—or eligible for licensure—through the West Virginia Board of Medicine or Board of Osteopathic Medicine
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and ATLS required; PALS encouraged

Experience and skills

• Experience in acute care, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred; eligible new graduates will be considered
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
