Locums Adult & Pediatric ENT Physician — Weekend Hospital Call (No Clinic, Surgical/Trauma)

A prominent healthcare system in Worcester, MA seeks a Locums ENT physician to provide weekend adult and pediatric coverage for a busy hospital-based otolaryngology service. This assignment is 100% on-call with no clinic duties, includes surgical and trauma coverage, and may be extended beyond the initial term.

Assignment details

• Dates: August–September 2026, with potential extension
• Coverage: Two weekends per month
• Schedule: Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 6:00 AM
• Setting: Hospital-based, on-site call

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide weekend call coverage for adult and pediatric ENT patients
• Evaluate and manage ENT emergencies, inpatient consultations, and trauma-related cases
• Provide operative and bedside interventions as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, hospitalists, surgeons, and resident physicians
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation

Required procedures and skills

• Cerumen removal
• Diagnostic laryngoscopy and nasal endoscopy
• Excision of tongue fold lesions
• Emergency ENT evaluations and interventions
• Trauma-related ENT care

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
• Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients; trauma experience required
• Active Massachusetts medical license required (time-sensitive — candidates must already hold an active MA license)
• DEA registration required
