Job Description
Locum opportunity for Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to cover trauma and acute care neurosurgery with elective cases at an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center in Corpus Christi, TX.
Location and Facility
- ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center
- New, state-of-the-art hospital with advanced ER, OR, and inpatient facilities
- Accredited Stroke Center with subspecialty support
- Collaborative, team-based environment with full APP support
Schedule
- Per diem engagement
- 4–7 flexible 24-hour shifts per month
- No additional call requirement
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide trauma and acute care neurosurgical coverage
- Manage emergency and inpatient neurosurgical cases
- Perform elective neurosurgical procedures as appropriate
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and full-time APP support
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow institutional protocols
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
- Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain one
- Current experience in trauma neurosurgery
Compensation and Logistics
- $4,600 per 24-hour shift
- Travel, lodging, and transportation fully covered
- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage provided
- Dedicated locum consultant to assist with credentialing and scheduling
Location note
- Corpus Christi, TX: Gulf Coast city with beaches, outdoor recreation, and no state income tax.
