Locums Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Level III Trauma, $4,050/Shift + Travel & Benefits

A healthcare facility in Twin Falls, ID is seeking a Locums Orthopedic Surgeon to provide coverage at a Level III Trauma Center. This role involves managing acute musculoskeletal trauma in both the emergency department and inpatient settings, working closely with emergency medicine, trauma surgery, hospitalists, and advanced practice providers in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute traumatic orthopedic injuries in a Level III trauma center
• Perform operative and non-operative fracture management and related orthopedic procedures
• Provide timely consultations for emergency department and inpatient cases
• Participate in trauma call coverage as part of the orthopedic team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality care

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred
• Eligible for Idaho medical licensure
• Demonstrated clinical judgment and ability to manage complex trauma cases
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation and benefits

• $4,050 per shift
• Competitive above-market hourly rate
• All travel arrangements provided and booked by the group (in addition to per-shift pay)
