Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Ocala, FL | High-Volume ED, Competitive Pay & Scenic Central Florida

We’re looking for a skilled Emergency Medicine physician to join our team in Ocala, FL on a locum tenens basis. You’ll be providing hands-on, patient-centered care in the emergency department—performing thorough assessments, making timely diagnoses, and delivering appropriate treatments for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. This role is fast-paced and collaborative, and it’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, decisive clinical work, and working with a supportive ED team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Evaluating and stabilizing patients across all ages and acuity levels
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, initiating treatment plans, and coordinating follow-up care or admissions as needed
• Communicating clearly with patients, families, and consulting teams
• Documenting care accurately and efficiently in the medical record
• Participating in departmental processes to support patient flow and quality improvement

Who we’re looking for:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain one)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
