Locum OBGYN Physician — Inpatient Rounding & Evening/Weekend Call in Richmond, VA

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OBGYN physician for locum coverage in Richmond, Virginia. This on-site role emphasizes inpatient rounding and evening/weekend call to support a busy obstetrics and gynecology service.

Schedule & call

• Inpatient rounding on-site during weekdays
• Evening and weekend on-site call coverage
• Typical patient volume: ~11 patients per day

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient care for obstetric and gynecologic patients
• Conduct daily inpatient rounds, assessments, and management of complex cases
• Provide evening and weekend call coverage to ensure continuous patient care
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, mid-level providers, and physician colleagues
• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record

Required qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience in inpatient OBGYN care, including labor & delivery and gynecologic procedures
• Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically eClinicalWorks (outpatient) and Meditech (inpatient)
