Join a high-performing orthopedic trauma team at a busy Level II Trauma Center in Beaumont, Texas—about one hour east of Houston. This role is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who wants to collaborate with orthopedic trauma surgeons in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting managing a wide range of injuries.
Practice overview
- Manage complex orthopedic trauma including pelvis and acetabular fractures, general orthopedic trauma, hand injuries, and routine pediatric fractures.
- Work within a collaborative surgical and inpatient care team with strong institutional support.
- Predictable schedule with no after-hours call responsibilities.
Schedule and shift details
- On-site APP coverage daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- 10-hour shifts; full-time equals 175 shifts annually.
- Additional shifts available at $800 per shift.
Primary responsibilities
- Round with the on-call orthopedic trauma surgeon and participate in daily patient care.
- Evaluate and manage new consults and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in the operating room and provide inpatient orthopedic trauma management.
Compensation and benefits
- Base annual compensation of $140,000.
- Additional shift pay of $800 per shift.

- Medical malpractice insurance with tail coverage provided.
- Reasonable travel expenses to Beaumont and lodging provided.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred; trauma experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable assisting in the OR and managing inpatient orthopedic patients.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-management skills.
