Locum Tenens Pain Management Nurse Practitioner — Noblesville, IN

Locum Pain Management Nurse Practitioner needed for an established outpatient clinic in Noblesville, IN. Weekday schedule, no call. Must be comfortable managing acute and chronic pain and prescribing opioids when appropriate.

• Setting: Outpatient pain management clinic
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Mon–Thu: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (patient hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
  • Fri: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM (patient hours 8:00 AM–12:00 PM)
• No call, day shifts only

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic pain conditions
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage medications, including opioid therapy, per state and federal regulations
• Monitor treatment response and adjust plans accordingly
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and coordinate diagnostic testing
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients on pain management options, medication safety, and lifestyle measures
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Required qualifications

• Active Indiana NP license
• Board certification as FNP, AGNP, or related specialty
• 2–3+ years clinical experience in pain management or related fields (orthopedics, neurology, PM&R preferred)
• Comfortable prescribing and managing controlled substances; active DEA registration and state controlled substance license
• Strong knowledge of controlled substance prescribing guidelines and monitoring programs
• Proficient with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks a plus)
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills; patient-centered approach

Preferred

• Experience with interventional pain management and office procedures (joint injections, trigger point injections, etc.).
