Assignment and Schedule

• Timing: August and September
• Shift blocks: 3–5 consecutive days
• Typical pattern: week-on / week-off
• Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Call: none

• Facility: 45-bed community hospital
• Average daily census: 25–35 patients
• Daily admissions: ~10
• Consults: ~2 per day
• Patient mix: primarily elderly adults
• Trauma services: none
• Acuity: low to medium

Core responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive inpatient medical care for adult patients
• Admit, round, evaluate, and develop treatment plans
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, specialists, and case management
• Lead and contribute to discharge planning for safe transitions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all encounters

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Florida license, or eligible to obtain before start date
• Prior hospital medicine or inpatient experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
