Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician (Family/Internal Medicine) — Hyannis, MA (Weekdays)

We’re looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Primary Care physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to provide locum tenens coverage at an outpatient clinic in Hyannis, Barnstable, MA. This role offers a steady weekday schedule and the chance to deliver comprehensive primary care to Veterans.

Compensation: $140–$150

What the schedule looks like

• Outpatient primary care clinic
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• No call, no weekends
• Roughly 95% of your time is direct patient care

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adults
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Perform preventive health screenings and wellness visits
• Manage common illnesses and injuries, such as minor wounds and burns, respiratory and GI illnesses, musculoskeletal injuries, dermatologic conditions, ENT and eye issues, and urologic concerns
• Manage chronic diseases including diabetes (Type I & II), hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery and atherosclerotic vascular disease, PTSD, depression, and other chronic behavioral health conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and communicate results per clinical guidelines
• Prescribe medications following facility policies and evidence-based standards
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Complete timely, accurate electronic medical documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or DC
• Active DEA registration
• National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Clear Office of Inspector General (OIG) status
