Job Description
We’re looking for a Locum CRNA to join a collaborative, hospital-based anesthesia team in Winchester, Virginia. This role offers a weekday-only schedule with no call and no weekends, a varied case mix, and strong anesthesiologist support in a 1:4 care team model.
Schedule and Setting
- Work in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center environments.
- Flexible weekday schedules available:
- 4 × 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM–6:00 PM)
- 5 × 10-hour shifts
- 3 × 12-hour shifts
- 4 × 12-hour shifts
- Monday–Friday coverage only; no call and no weekends.
- Full-time coverage preferred, but providers available 2–3 weeks per month will be considered.
Practice Overview
- Collaborative 1:4 care team with anesthesiologist backup.
- Adult patient population; no cardiac cases.
- Daily electrophysiology (EP) coverage.
- Limited obstetrics exposure now, with potential to expand.
- Typical daily case volume ranges from about 2 complex procedures to 15 endoscopy cases.

Core Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for surgical and procedural cases.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and create individualized anesthesia plans.
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and provide post-anesthesia care.
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Document care accurately in Epic EMR.
Qualifications
- NBCRNA certification required.
- Active Virginia license or eligibility for licensure.
- 3–5+ years of CRNA experience preferred.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong general anesthesia skills; spinal and epidural experience preferred.
