Job Description
We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to provide newborn coverage at a rural critical access hospital in Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking a low-volume schedule with 24-hour call.
Overview
- Start ASAP
- 6-month 1099 locum assignment with option to extend
- Ongoing coverage needed for the next several months
- 7 days on / 7 days off
- 24-hour call
- Approximately 1–2 newborn patients per day
- EMR: Meditech or Epic
Responsibilities
- Newborn evaluations
- Newborn rounding and discharge
- Attendance at C-sections when needed
- Perform circumcisions
- No pediatric admissions
- No inpatient pediatric management beyond newborn care
Requirements
- Board Certified
- DEA and PALS
- Active Indiana license or IMLC in-hand
