Locum Tenens Hematology & Oncology Physician — Marquette, MI (Inpatient/Outpatient; 1:2 Call)

We’re seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to provide both inpatient consults and outpatient clinic coverage in Marquette, MI. This is a locum tenens opportunity beginning September 21, 2026, and continuing on an ongoing basis with defined two-week coverage blocks throughout the fall and early winter.

Schedule and coverage

• Regular hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• On-call: Occasional night and weekend beeper call; 1:2 call ratio with a 15-minute response expectation
• Coverage blocks: Sep 21–Oct 5, Oct 19–Nov 2, Nov 16–30, Dec 14–28, 2026
• Reason: Supplemental clinical coverage
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided

Clinical scope and volume

• Provide hematology/oncology care in outpatient clinics and perform occasional inpatient consultations
• Average clinic volume: 10–15 patients per day, plus 0–5 phone consults
• Participate in multidisciplinary care, including weekly tumor board discussions
• Utilize available genetic counseling and research resources as part of patient management

Team and facility

• EMR: Athena and Cerner
• Support staff: 13 RNs, 3 APPs (PAs/NPs), and 13 office staff
• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges are not available)

Requirements

• Board certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active Michigan medical license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
