Locum Tenens Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (Call-Only) — Henderson, NC

We’re seeking a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN to provide locum tenens inpatient call coverage in Henderson, NC. This is supplemental, call-only coverage with 24-hour shifts (8a–8a) on a 1:1 beeper call schedule. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are provided.

Schedule and coverage windows:

• Ongoing availability requested (ASAP – ongoing)
• Upcoming confirmed blocks: Jul 27–Aug 10; Oct 1–5; Oct 23–Nov 2; Nov 20–Dec 4; Dec 21–Jan 1
• Call response time: 25 minutes; expected callback rate: ~30%

Clinical and patient info:

• Average daily census: ~10 patients
• Annual deliveries: ~360
• Admissions and inpatient rounding required

Facility and support:

• Department beds: 15
• EMR: Athena, Meditech
• Support staff: 1 MA, 2 APPs, 2 office staff

Privileges and required skills:

• Hospital privileges required
• Must be licensed in North Carolina
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRPD
• Board status: BC/BE

Procedures and responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care
• Manage routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal and cesarean)
• Perform OB ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and repairs of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
• Handle office/minor gynecology procedures as needed
• Complete inpatient rounding and respond to on-call emergencies within the response time
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
