Join a busy, well-supported emergency department at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. This locum tenens role with SCP Health covers ongoing 24/7 rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) beginning September 1, 2026. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are covered.

What you’ll be working with

• A high-volume ED seeing about 109 patients per day (≈40,000/year) across medical, surgical, and trauma presentations.
• Department capacity: 45 ED beds and 5 triage rooms; Level 3 trauma center.
• EMR: Epic.
• Onsite specialty backup: Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics.
• Support team: MDs, NPs/PAs, and experienced nursing staff.

Credentials and logistics

• Board certification/eligibility: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• Minimum two years of emergency medicine experience required.
• Active Ohio medical license and DEA required; active CDS as applicable.
• ATLS required (ABFM/ABIM must maintain; ABEM must show past documentation).
• Hospital privileges are required; credentialing typically takes up to 90 days. Temporary privileges are not available.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced ED, managing a broad range of conditions including trauma.
• Collaborate closely with NPs/PAs, nursing staff, and specialty consultants.
• Rotate through days, evenings, nights, and weekend coverage as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and comply with hospital policies and privileging requirements.
