Seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage in Gadsden, AL (35903). This inpatient role provides clinical care and beeper call coverage (30-minute response) from July 31, 2026 through December 31, 2026. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform inpatient consults and STEMI call coverage
- Provide diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
- Interpret echocardiograms and other cardiology reads
- Round on unassigned patients as needed
Facility and support:
- Trauma Level III hospital using Cerner EMR
- One PA/NP available to assist
- Temporary privileges can be arranged
Qualifications:
- BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology
- License in Alabama or participation in the IMLC
- Current BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and ABLS certifications
Coverage reason: supplemental.
