We’re seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to support a busy electrophysiology team in Flagstaff, AZ, covering both inpatient and outpatient settings. This locum tenens opportunity runs from August 17, 2026 through January 29, 2027, with a typical weekday schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (one-hour lunch). Coverage is clinical only.

What you’ll be doing:

• Evaluate adult electrophysiology patients in clinic and on the hospital service.
• Perform post-operative assessments, device checks, same-day evaluations, and procedure follow-ups.
• Admit and round on patients as needed; support the EP physician team.
• Document all patient care using Cerner.

Patient volume and case mix:

• Adult patients only.
• Outpatient clinic census averages about 14; inpatient volume is variable.
• Typical encounters include EP follow-ups, post-op care, post-device checks, and same-day procedure visits.

Facility snapshot:

• Large acute care hospital with 268 beds and Level I trauma designation.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Electrophysiology physician backup and support staff available on site.

Requirements:

• Active Arizona PA license and PA board certification.
• DEA registration.
• Minimum of 1 year of electrophysiology experience; strong EP background required.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• Hospital privileges will be required; credentialing typically takes 30–60 days.
