Core responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the OR consistent with scope of practice and facility policies.
• Collaborate with surgical team to prepare patients, maintain sterile field, monitor intraoperative status, and document care.
• Float to clinically appropriate units as needed, within licensure, demonstrated competencies, and scope of practice.

Required credentials and qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including OR experience preferred

Notes

• Floating assignments will be limited to units appropriate to the clinician’s skills and demonstrated competencies.
