Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician Inpatient L&D Call (Paducah, KY)

Join a team in Paducah, Kentucky, providing inpatient OB/GYN locum coverage with travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided. You’ll cover EMTALA call and work 6–7 24-hour shifts per month (7a–7a), responding in-house and by beeper/phone as needed.

What you’ll do

• Provide on-call OB/GYN coverage, including EMTALA obligations.
• Manage routine obstetric care: vaginal deliveries, low forceps, and daily patient assessments (typically 1–6 patients/day).
• Make clinical decisions and perform C-sections for complicated deliveries (breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.).
• Manage VBACs and repair 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations.
• Collaborate with midwives who also take call and deliver their own patients.

Privileges & credentialing

• Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are available.
• Standard credentialing timeline is 90 days, with expedited options.

Required qualifications

• ABOG board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Active KY medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Active DEA registration and current BLS certification.

Patient mix

• Adult obstetrics focus, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and VBACs.
