Required qualifications

• Valid Florida School Speech-Language Pathology Certification (FLDOE) and/or licensure from the Florida Department of Health
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting
• Minimum 1 year working with students with multiple disabilities
• Minimum 1 year participating in IEP meetings
• Minimum 1 year writing therapy goals for IEPs

Primary responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy to students per IEPs
• Conduct screenings, assessments, observations, and reevaluations as requested
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and ESE eligibility meetings and contribute to goal development
• Write present levels of performance, measurable annual goals, and therapy recommendations
• Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs, evaluations, progress notes, plans of care, and Medicaid billing records
• Coordinate therapy schedules with school staff and offer consultation, training, and recommendations
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
• Monitor and report weekly on IEP goals and therapy outcomes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing school-based therapy
• Perform other duties as assigned
