Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Contract, Oakland CA (18-week, Local Rate)

We’re looking for a dependable Physical Therapy Assistant to join a friendly team in Oakland, CA. This is a local, contract (non-travel) role that starts on September 7, 2026, runs for 18 weeks, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule. The position is based on a 35-hour workweek with local pay of $1,558 per week.

What you’ll need:

• A valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.

What you’ll do day to day:

• Work alongside the Physical Therapist to help evaluate patients and carry out prescribed treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions and use modalities and equipment to support patient rehabilitation.
• Teach patients (and their families when appropriate) exercise programs and home routines to support recovery.
• Keep clear, accurate patient records and communicate regularly with the Physical Therapist and the rest of the care team.
• Follow all safety and infection-control policies to keep patients and staff safe.
