Required qualifications

• Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited program
• School-based or pediatric music therapy experience preferred

Core responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive music therapy assessments to identify students’ educational, developmental, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs.
• Design and implement individualized, evidence-based music therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Deliver individual and group music therapy sessions using appropriate musical activities, instruments, and clinical techniques.
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and related-service providers.
• Monitor and document student progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and modify services based on outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and FERPA-compliant service records, progress notes, and evaluation reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
