We’re looking for skilled Deaf Education Interpreters to support students in Plano, Texas schools. You’ll provide accurate, effective sign language interpretation so students who are deaf or hard of hearing can fully participate in classroom instruction, school programs, and activities.

What you’ll do

• Interpret and transliterate in classroom and instructional settings to ensure equal access to learning.
• Prepare for assignments by reviewing upcoming subject matter and relevant sign vocabulary.
• Work collaboratively as part of the educational team, offering insights about student progress and communication needs.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with FERPA and uphold professional conduct and ethics.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

• Certification by the Texas Commission for the Deaf or Registry for the Deaf.
• Familiarity with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Ethics.
• Prior experience in school-based interpreting.
