Role summary:
Provide perioperative support as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in a hospital operating room setting. Maintain sterile field, prepare instruments and supplies, assist surgeons and scrub team during procedures, and ensure patient safety and adherence to facility protocols.

Minimum qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to travel to Hilo for the assignment

Key responsibilities:

• Set up and verify surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with patient positioning and draping
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and manage instrument counts
• Handle specimen labeling and transport per protocol
• Clean, inspect, and process instruments and equipment after cases
• Communicate effectively with surgical team and follow facility policies and safety standards

Work environment:
Hospital operating rooms; exposure to bloodborne pathogens and surgical hazards; must follow PPE and infection-control practices.
