RN Unit Manager (Contract) — Orono, ME — 13-Week Assignment

Join us in Orono, Maine for a 13-week, contract (non-travel) Nurse Unit Manager role starting August 24, 2026. This is a local position working Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a 40-hour rate of $2,360.

What we’re looking for

• Active, valid Registered Nurse license for the state.
• Prior nursing leadership experience.
• Current BLS certification.

What you’ll do

• Lead the nursing team (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) day-to-day, ensuring care follows unit policies and standards.
• Oversee patient care activities — assessments, medication administration, documentation — and step in as needed.
• Coordinate staffing and create schedules that keep patient care running smoothly.
• Mentor and educate staff to support their professional development and skill-building.
• Monitor quality and compliance, perform audits, and drive continuous improvement.
• Respond to medical emergencies following established protocols.
