Clinical Scope & Patient Volume
- Typical clinic volume: 14 patients/day
- Admissions: 1–6
- Phone consults: ~2 per clinic day (possible)
- Case mix: General urology with Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery
Facility & Support
- EMR: Epic
- Trauma level: II
- On-site equipment: urodynamics
- Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, 4 office staff
Privileges & Compliance
- Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available
- Licensure: Active ND license or participation in IMLC required
Required Procedures & Clinical Skills
Expect to perform a full range of adult urologic procedures, including:
- General urology
- Advanced endoscopic techniques, ureteroscopy, ESWL
- Percutaneous nephrolithotomy
- Laparoscopic and robotic surgery
- Radical prostatectomy and pelvic node dissection
- Radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit
- Partial nephrectomy with intraoperative ultrasound
- Adrenalectomy
- Renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy; TRUS biopsies
- Incontinence procedures
Qualifications
- BC/BE in Urology
- Fellowship-trained (required)
- BLS certification
- Active ND license or IMLC participation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient urology consultation and treatment
- Perform surgical procedures (endoscopic, laparoscopic, robotic, open)
- Manage urologic emergencies and cover call via beeper
- Use urodynamics and other diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical team
