Sterile Processing Technician — Contract in Yakima (AugSep 2026) $27.90/hr, Days 6am4pm

We’re looking for a dependable Sterile Processing Technician to fill a bundled contract in Yakima, WA from 08/10/2026–09/14/2026. This role pays $27.90/hr and covers 21 shifts, each from 6:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Schedule overview

• August: Mon–Thu for the weeks of 8/10, 8/17, 8/24; plus Mon 8/31.
• September: Tue–Thu for the weeks of 9/1 and 9/8, with Mon 9/7 and Mon 9/14 included.

What we’re looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sterile processing certification (CRCST, CSPDT, or equivalent) preferred/required.
• Solid knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control practices.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting and able to lift and handle equipment as needed.

What you’ll be doing

• Decontaminating, cleaning, and inspecting surgical instruments.
• Assembling and packaging instrument trays and case carts.
• Operating sterilization equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and documenting the processes.
• Monitoring sterility indicators and maintaining accurate records.
• Distributing, tracking, and storing sterile supplies and instruments; assisting with inventory management.
• Following infection control and safety standards at all times.
• Communicating and coordinating with OR and clinical staff to support smooth case flow.
