Specific shifts to fill

• Sep 10, 14: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Sep 18–20: 24-hour shifts
• Sep 22–23: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Additional dates required monthly through December

Patient population & volume

• OB/GYN patients including high-risk antepartum
• Admissions: ~2–3 per day
• Phone consults: ~3–5 per day
• Rounding: assigned patients
• Case mix includes high-risk pregnancies; facility is Level III NICU

Facility & support

• EMR: Epic
• On-site MFM backup available
• Nursing: 3–5 RNs per team; office staff: 2
• Temporary hospital privileges available; permanent privileges not required

Required clinical skills/procedures

• Management of low- and high-risk pregnancy and antepartum care
• FHR interpretation; NST/CST/FSE
• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I/screening and Level II/targeted)
• Amniocentesis
• Routine and complicated delivery management:
  • Vaginal delivery, low forceps
  • Decision-making for and performance of C-section (including breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBAC)
  • Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Preferred (but not required): laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOs, tubal procedures); operative/major for ectopic, oophorectomy, cystectomy

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient call coverage for OB/GYN
• Manage high-risk antepartum patients and emergent obstetric/gynecologic issues
• Collaborate with on-site MFM specialists
• Supervise family medicine residents in OB/GYN care
• Perform deliveries and related obstetric/gynecologic procedures as required

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible (BC/BE) in OB/GYN
• Active Idaho medical license or participation in IMLC
• Fellowship (MFM) preferred but not required
