Contract Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — Athens, GA | Weekend Days | 08/08/202610/31/2026

We’re seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a team in Athens, GA on a bundled contract from 08/08/2026 to 10/31/2026. This role is weekend-focused (25 shifts total), with each shift running 6:45 AM–7:15 PM. Pay is $48.30/hour.

Schedule highlights

• August: weekends of 8/8–8/9, 8/15–8/16, 8/22–8/23, 8/29–8/30
• September: weekends of 9/5–9/6, 9/12–9/13, 9/19–9/20, 9/26–9/27
• October: weekends of 10/3–10/4, 10/10–10/11, 10/17–10/18, 10/24–10/25, and 10/31

What we’re looking for

• Active RT license/certification in the practicing state
• At least 1 year of hospital or acute care experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Comfortable and experienced with ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and documentation skills
• Able to perform well in fast-paced, high-acuity settings

What you’ll do

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders, including administering oxygen therapy and inhaled medications
• Manage mechanical ventilation and provide airway management, suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene
• Track patient response and document treatments accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use
• Work closely with physicians and the care team to develop and adjust treatment plans
