Join a contract (bundled) dialysis team in Columbia, MO for a short-term assignment from 08/05/2026 to 08/21/2026. This role covers eight 12-hour day shifts (06:00 AM – 06:00 PM) on the following dates: Week 1 — Wed 8/5, Fri 8/7; Week 2 — Mon 8/10, Wed 8/12, Fri 8/14; Week 3 — Mon 8/17, Wed 8/19, Fri 8/21. Compensation: $48.30/hr.
Required qualifications
- Active RN license in the practicing state.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS may be required.
- Preferred: ≥1 year dialysis or renal nursing experience.
- Proficiency with hemodialysis machines, protocols, infection control, and vascular access care.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and time-management skills to safely manage multiple patients.
Key responsibilities
- Dialysis care: perform pre- and post-dialysis assessments; initiate, monitor, and terminate treatments; operate and troubleshoot hemodialysis equipment per protocol.
- Patient management: care for vascular access (fistula, graft, catheter); administer medications and IV therapies as ordered; monitor patient responses and intervene promptly for complications.
- Documentation & education: accurately document treatments, assessments, and patient status in the EMR; provide patient education on dialysis care, diet, and fluid management.
