Join SCP Health Locums at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas, providing locum tenens emergency coverage beginning September 1, 2026, ongoing. Shifts are 12-hour days and nights (7a–7p and 7p–7a). Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Credentials & Logistics
- Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 90 days
Qualifications
- BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license and active Texas DEA with Texas address (schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5)
- Minimum two years recent clinical experience in emergency medicine or related specialty
- Two years of case logs and two years of CME/CEU documentation
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS (required if not board certified in Emergency Medicine)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages
- Manage high patient volumes with 24-hour physician coverage
- Perform emergency procedures as needed (e.g., laceration repair, intubation, central line placement)
- Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow and timely care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Medhost EMR
