Summary
Seek a Medical Director to provide clinical and administrative leadership in a 100% outpatient HIV primary care practice serving adults, including LGBTQ and people living with HIV/AIDS. Patient volume is ~15–18 patients/day.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient HIV primary care: diagnosis, treatment, and longitudinal management of HIV/AIDS and routine primary care conditions.
- Serve as Medical Director: clinical leadership, quality oversight, protocols and guideline implementation.
- Participate in shared on-call schedule.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (practice manager, medical assistants, RNs) and support research in HIV/LGBTQ health.
- Deliver culturally competent care to underserved populations.
Qualifications
- MD or DO (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Adult-Gerontology, or Infectious Disease).
- Active state medical license (note: original listing requests California license; confirm required state licensure for Tacoma, WA).
- Valid DEA registration and furnishing license as required.
- Current CPR/BLS.
- AAHIVM certification required within 18 months of hire.
- Prior outpatient HIV/AIDS diagnosis and treatment experience.
- Comfortable managing a clinic pace of 15–18 patients/day.
