Join a well-established hospital medicine team at a respected community hospital in southeast Georgia. This locums assignment offers a predictable workflow, strong specialty support, and a collaborative environment.

Position highlights

• Day shifts 7a–7p; no overnight call for daytime physicians
• Target 18–22 billable encounters per shift (includes admissions)
• Admissions primarily from the Emergency Department
• Stable program with an average hospitalist tenure of 15 years

Practice model

• Day coverage typically 2–3 hospitalists plus 1 APP
• APP independently rounds on ~80% of physician census, with close physician collaboration and required physician chart review/co-signature
• Team-based support during peak volumes
• Structured, alternating admission blocks to ensure predictable and equitable workload

Night coverage

• Dedicated nocturnist (7p–7a) handles 8–10 admissions per night on average
• Nocturnist manages overnight admissions and cross-coverage

Clinical environment

• Open ICU with 24/7 intensivist availability
• Hospitalists respond to all codes and rapid responses
• Collegial multidisciplinary team with strong operational support
