Patient volume & duties

- Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including general cardiology call as needed

- Nuclear stress testing
- Transthoracic and transesophageal echo interpretation (TEEs)
- Reading echocardiograms, Holters, and event monitors

Privileges & compliance
- Credentialing timeline: 60 days
- Licensure: Active Iowa medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) / universal license required
Primary responsibilities
- Perform interventional cardiology procedures (diagnostic cath, PCI, stenting)
- Conduct and interpret stress testing (echo and nuclear) and routine cardiac imaging/monitoring (echos, TEEs, Holters, event monitors)
- Manage clinic patients and inpatient consults per volumes above
- Provide cardioversions and other required inpatient procedures
- Participate in scheduled call coverage and respond to general cardiology needs
