We’re seeking a Nurse Practitioner to cover Emergency Medicine shifts in Hancock, MI. This locum tenens role is outpatient, clinical-only coverage to help with scheduling needs and time off. Travel and lodging will be covered if needed, and malpractice insurance is provided by the vendor.
Assignment details
- Location: Hancock, MI 49930
- Coverage period: Sep 04, 2026 – Sep 13, 2026
- Scheduled coverage dates: Sep 05–07 and Sep 12–13, 2026
- Shift pattern: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM on scheduled dates (7 days a week schedule during assignment)
- Reason for coverage: staff time off / vacation coverage
Patient and clinical environment
- Patient mix: adults and pediatric patients (all ages)
- Typical volume: about 36 patients per day, with roughly 3 admissions daily
- Support: ED physicians and ED RNs available for backup
- EMR: MediTech
Privileges, credentialing, and logistics
- Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges available)
- Credentialing timeline: ~30 days, can be faster with prompt submission
- Travel and lodging covered if needed; malpractice covered by vendor
Minimum qualifications
- Board: Board eligible required
- License: Active MI license
- Certifications: BLS
- Clinical scope: comfortable evaluating and treating patients of all ages
Core responsibilities
- Provide emergency care and stabilization for patients across the age spectrum
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and order appropriate tests and treatments
- Collaborate closely with ED physicians and nursing staff
- Document all patient encounters in MediTech EMR
