Travel PCU/Stepdown RN (Progressive Care) — Days, 12-hr, Lima OH (Start Aug 25, 2026)

Join a supportive team in Lima, Ohio, as a contract Registered Nurse on the Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown. This role is a day-shift position offering 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee, starting Aug 25, 2026. You’ll be scheduled every other weekend with no on-call requirements. Pay is $2,102 per 36 hours.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide post-operative and progressive care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures, including open-heart cases.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in real time.
• Manage chest tubes and other drains; assist with chest tube removal as needed.
• Support patients before and after radial and femoral access procedures.
• Assist with removal of pericardial pacing wires and care for temporary pacers (including pericardial and transcutaneous devices).
• Use and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation (NIV), high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems.
• Float to other units as required within your skill set.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, including critical care and post-operative open heart care.
• Strong skills in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
• Experience with chest tube/drain management and temporary pacing systems.
• Familiarity with NIV, high-flow oxygen, and advanced pulmonary care.
• Ability to float to other units within your competency.

Credentials required

• Active Ohio RN license (OH) or Compact RN license listed in Nursys
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
