Job Description

Full-time outpatient General Neurology opportunity in Berlin, New Hampshire. Seeking a physician who values community-focused care, clinical autonomy, and long-term patient relationships in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting.

Position details

  • Schedule: 4–4.5 days per week
  • Patient population: adolescents (16+) and adults
  • New and established patients
  • Broad general neurology practice; special clinical interests welcomed
  • On-site diagnostic testing; collaborative multidisciplinary team

Clinical focus (conditions commonly managed)

  • Migraine and other headache disorders
  • Memory loss / cognitive impairment
  • Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor
  • Dizziness and vestibular disorders
  • Epilepsy
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Polyneuropathy

Primary responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage outpatient neurological conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and manage medications
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing
  • Interpret EEGs — highly preferred
  • Perform and interpret NCS/EMG — highly preferred
  • Administer Botox injections for headache and movement disorders — highly preferred
  • Educate and counsel patients and families
  • Coordinate referrals with cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine, therapy, and other specialties
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Neurology residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • 2–5 years general neurology experience preferred; recent graduates with strong clinical skills encouraged to apply
  • Comfortable practicing in a rural setting; strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus wRVU productivity
  • Good citizenship bonus up to $15,000

  • 5 weeks vacation + sick time
  • 2 weeks CME time + up to $4,500 CME allowance
