Job Description

The New Mexico Heart Institute is offering a competitive salary with excellent quality of life to a Thoracic Surgeon as part of a four-surgeon team at our Heart Hospital in beautiful Albuquerque, NM, USA. Be part of a multi-specialty practice primarily working out of the Heart Hospital that was designed by physicians with patients in mind. Interested experienced and graduating cardiothoracic surgeon candidates are encouraged to apply!
 
About the Position:
  • Lovelace Medical Group: Multi-Specialty Practice
  • Full-Time Employment (1.0 FTE)
  • Inpatient/Outpatient Mix
  • Join a team of 39 physicians, 23 APP, and support staff 
  • Onsite X-ray and Lab
  • Da Vinci V robotic system and Lung Cancer Program
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
  • Daily Patient Load: 14-16 
  • Q4: Rotating Call Coverage
  • Smart Technology: See more patients without extending your day. Our providers use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to better work-life balance and revenue.
Minimum Requirements:
  • ABTS certified in thoracic surgery
  • Experienced and graduating thoracic surgeons are encouraged to apply!
