Locums Emergency Medicine Physician — Level II Trauma & Comprehensive Stroke Center in Orlando

Join a well-supported emergency department in Orlando, Florida, covering a busy community ED where you’ll have access to comprehensive specialty services and a collaborative team.

What you’ll find here

• Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated trauma room
• Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI/Heart Center
• 11 private patient care bays and a dedicated pediatric treatment room
• Typical volume of about 30 patients per day
• Patients who need admission are transferred to the main campus with seamless handoffs to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
• A collegial emergency medicine team and modern facilities

What you’ll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of urgent and emergent medical conditions
• Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients, including trauma and pediatric emergencies
• Perform emergency procedures within the scope of EM practice
• Coordinate care with consultants and inpatient teams to ensure smooth transitions for admitted patients
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) preferred
• Candidates Board Certified in Family Medicine with at least 4 years of Emergency Medicine experience or completion of an Emergency Medicine fellowship will also be considered
• Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Active Florida medical license or the ability to obtain one
• DEA registration required
