Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist to provide outpatient locum tenens coverage in North Dakota. This is a fully outpatient opportunity with no call responsibilities, allowing the physician to focus exclusively on scheduled procedures.
Overview
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Comfortable performing approximately 14–16 outpatient procedures per day
- Primarily outpatient procedures including colonoscopies and EDGs
- Additional procedures may include:
- Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy
- Foreign body removal
- Fulguration of bleeding
- Injection of varices
- Esophageal dilation
- Manometry
- Small bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
- No midlevel support in the outpatient setting
- Other physicians will typically be present
Requirements
- Board Certified
- Active North Dakota medical license required
- IMLC providers accepted
- Proficient in colonoscopy and EGD procedures
