• Night shifts -- 7 pm - 7 am
• 7 on / 7 off schedule
• Census typically 8 - 10 ICU patients
• ICU / critical care facility
• Intubation, central line, arterial lines required
• Paracentesis and thoracentesis required
• Cath lab transfers involved
