Locums Internal Medicine Physician — Outpatient Primary Care (Point Pleasant, NJ)

Compensation

• $150 per hour

Assignment

• Duration: Approximately 6 months (locum coverage while practice recruits)
• Setting: Outpatient primary care in Point Pleasant Boro, NJ
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• No call
• Patient volume: 15–20 patients/day
• Team: 3 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider
• Procedures: None required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Perform preventive care, annual wellness visits, and health screenings
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals as needed
• Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, and support staff to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Active New Jersey medical license required
• Current DEA registration
• BLS certification preferred
