Locums OBGYN needed for TX

Locum OB/GYN Opportunity – Texas

We are seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for a 12-week maternity leave assignment in Texas. This opportunity offers a combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient obstetric coverage in a collaborative, community-based practice.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Location: Texas
• Start Date: September 2026
• Assignment Length: Approximately 12 weeks (through November 2026)
• Coverage Reason: Maternity leave
• Minimum Commitment: 12 weeks preferred
• EMR: Epic

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Two weekday call shifts per week
• Call is shared among a group of three providers

Practice Setting

• Combination of inpatient and outpatient care
• Community-based OB/GYN practice
• Approximately 15–20 patient encounters per day
• Call coverage includes:
  • Unassigned obstetric patients
  • Established clinic patients
  • Small rural hospital coverage

Responsibilities

• Routine obstetric and gynecologic clinic visits
• Prenatal and postpartum care
• Well-woman examinations
• Gynecologic evaluations and procedures
• Labor and delivery management
• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• Inpatient rounding as needed
• Shared weekday call responsibilities

Support Staff

• Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs)
• Medical Assistants (MAs)

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Texas medical license required
• Candidates requiring licensure will not be considered
• Must meet facility vaccination requirements

• Experienced in both outpatient OB/GYN practice and inpatient obstetric care
• Comfortable managing labor and delivery independently
• Team-oriented and able to integrate into a small physician group
• Available for the full 12-week assignment
