Job Description

Join a collaborative team delivering high-quality care to residents of skilled nursing and long-term care facilities around Macomb, IL. This part-time role lets you provide clinical leadership and hands-on care while partnering closely with experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. You’ll have a chance to make a real difference in post-acute and long-term care settings with a schedule that supports an excellent work–life balance.

Where you’ll work

  • Primary coverage in Macomb, IL, with opportunities at nearby facilities including Carlinville, Casey, Coulterville, Flanagan, Galesburg, Hillsboro, Marshall, Mascoutah, Paris, and Springfield.
  • Additional openings nationwide across IN, KS, LA, MA, MI, MO, NC, OH, TN, and WI.

What the role looks like

  • Part-time commitment, typically covering each facility 1–2 days per week.
  • No fixed start/end times, no on-call duties, and no overnight shifts.
  • Expect to see about 18–25 patient visits per day.
  • Work alongside NPs and PAs while providing clinical oversight and serving as the attending physician.
  • New graduates who are board-eligible and in the process of obtaining licensure are encouraged to apply.

Who we’re looking for

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license—or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
