Locums Inpatient Neurologist — Richmond IN (Stroke/EEG/EMG; 12/14–12/21, potential extensions)

We are seeking a Locum Neurology physician to provide inpatient coverage in New Richmond, Indiana. This role is suited for a neurologist experienced in managing acute neurologic conditions and performing a wide range of inpatient procedures.

• Inpatient neurology coverage

Required skills and procedures

Mandatory

• Thrombolytic therapy for stroke
• Electroencephalography (EEG)
• Electromyography (EMG)
• Spinal/paraspinal/epidural blocks
• Brain death examinations
• Lumbar puncture
• Subdural tap

Preferred (non-mandatory)

• Nerve and muscle biopsy
• Nerve conduction velocity (NCV) testing
• Botulinum toxin (Botox) administration
• Evoked potentials
• Peripheral nerve blocks

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology (Board Eligible physicians must obtain certification within five years of residency)
• Active Virginia medical license
• Minimum of 2+ years clinical experience
• Current BLS certification
• Flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions considered)
